Introduction

Silverlight is a new technology launched by Microsoft in 2007. Developers initially learned it with the help of online articles and samples created by the product team. As the technology became familiar, many developers began to write books with the help of leading publishers. Silverlight 1.0 by Wrox provides a comprehensive overview of the technology in less than 7 chapters and 3 appendixes.

Thanks for your comments.

I hope authors will update the book later this year. It is difficult to update printed books very frequently as it requires plenty of time.

Anand, the main problem I have with this book and another one I know is they talk about a soon to be obsolete subject. Indeed Microsft has already launched SilverLight 1.1 but I will recommend to wait for Silverlight 2.0 coming at our doors very soon.
